Mendip Shooting Club has a Club House with ample seating and facilities for large parties. The Club House is laid out over 3 floors. The ground floor has a large restaurant which serves a variety of food and drink freshly prepared on the premises in our purpose built kitchen. The ground floor also contains our reception and booking area, a large ground floor shop, a gun storage room, plus Ladies, Gents and disabled toilets. The first floor houses conference facilities, meeting rooms, office space plus Ladies and Gents toilets. The Basement floor contains an indoor air rifle range and an indoor 100 metre rifle range. All facilities are accessible by stairs or a lift (not yet installed). Good car parking is adjacent to the Club House.
Clay Pigeon Shooting facilities for the main disciplines are laid out in four purpose built bays, encompassing some 30 acres, surrounded by grassy banks and well cut grass. All are accessed by wheelchair friendly gravel or concrete paths. There is also a well laid out English Sporting layout in the valley below the Club House. This can be reached by car (parking is available in the valley) or on foot, by the road that runs behind the Club House. Over 70 automatic clay traps allow us to present targets suitable for the absolute beginner to the most accomplished competition clay target shooter.
Air Rifle Shooting is available on internal (opening soon) and external ranges again with a variety of targets which should appeal to all.
We have qualified coaches to teach all the sports we support.
Please Note We are subject to planning restrictions on noise, so only Mendip noise approved cartridges can be used.
